About This Project
I designed and built a premium one-page website for Fade District Barbershop, a walk-in friendly shop in Houston's Montrose neighborhood known for its exposed brick interior, leather chairs, and hip-hop atmosphere. The brief was to capture the shop's urban, masculine energy — warm copper tones against deep black — and create something the owner could proudly share on Instagram to book more walk-ins. Built as a cold outreach demo pitched via DM.

Key Highlights
Cinematic Hero Section
Full-bleed hero with a copper spotlight animation that draws the eye straight to the tagline: "Where every cut tells a story." Sets the tone for the entire experience.
Houston Copper Design Direction
Warm copper and rust accents on a near-black canvas — inspired by the shop's exposed brick walls and vintage leather chairs. Libre Baskerville serif headings, Space Grotesk body text, and Bebas Neue for navigation.
Service Menu with Pricing
Clean grid layout showing every service and price upfront — customers see exactly what they're getting before they call. No guesswork, no friction.
Masonry Photo Gallery
Showcases cuts, the interior, and the craft with smooth hover effects — giving visitors a feel for the shop's atmosphere before they walk through the door.
One-Tap Calling & Google Maps
Sticky "Call Now" button on mobile so customers can book in seconds. Embedded Google Map with a dark-themed overlay matching the site's aesthetic for easy directions.
Testimonials & Brand Story
Auto-scrolling carousel featuring Google review-style testimonials from Houston locals. Plus an about section telling the owner's journey from his uncle's Third Ward shop to Montrose.
